Instructions for use

Before using Actosed ® OPA, it is recommended to put on suitable protective clothing. Actosed® OPA is a ready-to-use solution and does not need to be diluted. Before using Actosed® OPA , the medical instruments and disinfection trays must be thoroughly cleaned with a suitable cleaning agent and clear water to remove contamination and, if necessary, the instruments must be dismantled.

If used manually, place Actosed ® OPA in a disinfection tray and place instruments in the solution. Make sure that all surfaces and cavities are completely covered. Close the lid of the disinfection tray, leave to act for 5 minutes (for spores: 3 hours), remove instruments from the solution, rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not leave instruments in the solution longer than the recommended exposure time as the aqueous solution can cause long-term corrosion. An uncontaminated solution is effective for up to 15 days. Check effectiveness with test strips! In case of premature contamination, renew the solution.

When used by machine, the solution is automatically taken over by the machine and the endoscopes are connected to the corresponding openings on the machine. If there are blockages in the endoscopes, this will be indicated by the machine. In such cases, the endoscopes may need to be pre-cleaned by hand and then reconnected to the washing machine for disinfection. The information provided by the device manufacturer regarding dosage, handling and exposure time is decisive. Acto ® Oil Spray SF or Actoton ® M are recommended for the care of the instruments.
